BRENDA
Composed by Eddie Sauter
Famed for co-founding the Sauter-Finegan Orchestra and for his
imaginative work arranging for saxophonist Stan Getz, Eddie Sauter was
another worthy contributor to Night Gallery. For "Brenda," Sauter composed
a gentle theme to represent the main character's sense of childlike
wonder -- which then mutates into a taunting playground singsong to underscore
her impish misbehavior.
Reused in "The Different Ones" and "You Can't Get Help Like That
Anymore."
